MILAN DESIGN WEEK 2024

Milan like Paris, Venice and Miami: the fashion quadrilateral hosts Richard Orlinski's iconic Wild Kong thanks to Hublot and PISA 1940

Until April 21st, on the occasion of Milan Design Week, the design capital city of Milan hosts a monumental installation by the best-selling contemporary French artist in the world Richard Orlinski in the heart of the fashion quadrilateral, in via Verri 7.

Majestic and accessible to all. An iconic 180cm tall Wild Kong in vibrant Blue Mick is positioned in front of the Hublot Milano - PISA 1940 boutique, attracting the attention of Milanese and tourists. An animal that appears invincible, with its mouth wide open, through which the artist - known for his pop spirit and hyper-colourful style - invites us to reflect on how this ferocious beast is also capable of tenderness, creating a allegory between gorilla and man.

Via Verri, the street of Time , becomes the protagonist during the Design Week 2024, fusing art, design and watchmaking.

The installation - which is an integral part of "The Wild Odyssey", the solo exhibition dedicated to the artist organized by the Deodato Art gallery and (currently ongoing and open to visitors until 20 April, in via Nerino 1) - celebrates the partnership of Richard Orlinski with the Swiss luxury watch brand Hublot, of which he is an Ambassador . A long-standing union, which has now lasted for 8 years, during which the artist has created timepieces with a unique design with its famous facets, sought after by both watch collectors and art collectors.

The dialogue between watches and art continues inside the Hublot Milano – PISA 1940 boutique, where customers will be able to admire other works by the artist up close and continue the journey into the ferocious bestiary imagined by Richard Orlinski.
